Fast change of Lib-Time

For live-lightning i prefer having colors and beam looks stored in library.
But sometimes it would be nice to have different fade times (beam look: 0sec, color: 2sec, position: 4sec).

Here a quick workaround:

Store 3 macros (101-103) with setting different lib-fade-times (for example 0, 2 and 4 seconds).

Now you can set a new image/gobo with 0 fade time when pressing MACRO 101 before the lib, or fade in a new color by pressing MACRO 102 before the color lib ...

EDIT: see post from "alon" below, there is a description ... thx!

RE: Fast change of Lib-Time

Hi Matthias,
Very cool idea from you.
It would be nice if you add the string of commands that one has to create the Macro's with (i.e. what does the Macro look like, or how to create this Macro)

RE: Fast change of Lib-Time

to create the Macro...

in Action Syntax:
[Teach-Macro], [Rate], [Lib-Time], [#], [Store], [Rate], [Teach-Macro], now store the clipboard to a Macro button.

in Enter Syntax:
[Teach-Macro], [Rate], [Lib-Time], [#], [Enter], [Rate], [Teach-Macro], now store the clipboard to a Macro button.

Notes:
- the symbol [#] refers to the desired timing.
- the [Rate] button is the button positioned next to the Beat button and not the one switching the faders mode.
- the [Lib-Time] key press refers to the 4th wheel soft-button.

RE: Fast change of Lib-Time

sure, just create a new thread (maybe called "Vector FX Package 2012/01" or something like this...) with a file attachment under "tips and tricks" Smile
thanks
